Bredons Norton is a picturesque village on the edge of the Cotswolds on the SW side of Bredon
Hill. The views to the west are across the Severn Vale to the Malvern Hills, about 12 miles away.
Tewkesbury is 4 miles to the south, with Cheltenham and Gloucester beyond. Worcester lies to the
north, Stow on the Wold to the east, all within easy reach and all very different historically
and architecturally. At opposite ends of the Cotswolds are Bath and Stratford-upon-Avon, so many
places all well worth visiting, with many equally attractive but lesser known villages between.
The area abounds with places to see; a fine abbey at Tewkesbury where the river Avon joins the
Severn, the cathedral and historic docks and inland waterways museums at Gloucester. Regency Cheltenham,
Warwick Castle, a Falconry Centre, Butterfly Centre and Victorian Museum at Newent, browse a while
in Winchcombe then on to Stratford and take in a play at the Shakespearean Theatre, the list is
endles
Within a mile or so from Bredon you can go horse riding, golfing, clay pigeon shooting, windsurfing
on a nearby lake, boating on the river. It is an excellent area for birdwatching, or hire a bicycle
from us and ride right around the hill.
There are many outstanding places to eat, lots of pubs offering a fine selection of meals and superb
restaurants Cheltenham provides a stylish shopping centre with its beautiful promenade and arcades.
There really is something for everybody here.
